Get your tush in gear to help support people with colon cancer.
The Push For Your Tush fun run is taking place this Saturday in Shelburne, raising money for Colorectal Cancer Canada.
Money raised will go towards the group’s patient support programs, awareness campaigns and other programs.
The run/walk kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Shelburne Community Centre after a group warm up.
There’s going to be five and 10 KM walks and runs.
Registration is $35 for individuals and $75 for families, you can also join or create a team. Anyone interested can sign up online or on the day of the run at 9 a.m.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in Canada according to Health Canada. The Canadian Cancer Society says on average, 67 Canadians will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer every day.
Shelburne is one of four locations holding organized events. A virtual national run is taking place from now until August 28.
