The Town of Bridgewater is ready to cut the ribbon on their latest trail.
The Glen Allan Park Trail has been open to the public for several weeks but the town is holding an official event tomorrow morning, in part to thank the province for some of the funding.
Jessica McDonald, Director of Planning and Recreation for the town, says the trail follows some natural paths, created by locals.
“Over the past two years the town has been working toward formalizing a couple of the trails creating by people wandering through and enjoying the beautiful natural space.
The trail includes a bridge and connects several other trails in the area.
“Glen Allan Park is a really magical, wooded, natural park in our network of public open space here in the town and it’s gorgeous, with beautiful trees and a beautiful stream running through it,” says McDonald.
It’s also wheelchair and stroller accessible.
The opening ceremony takes place tomorrow at 11 a.m.
