A Bridgewater man has been charged following a firearms threat at Bridgewater Justice Centre yesterday.
Sixty two year old Neil Arthur James is charged with uttering threats to cause death and bodily harm and intimidation of a justice system participant.
The man was at the courthouse yesterday morning for a non-criminal matter when he threatened to return to the building with a gun.
Bridgewater Police briefly locked down the courthouse and neighbouring provincial building.
James was later arrested in his home without incident.
No firearms were found.
James has been released from custody on recognizance and will appear in court again June 13.
