Tuesday, July 1st at Queens Place Emera Centre will feature a family fun day for all ages from 2:00 – 6:00 pm including inflatables, music by the Tangos and Hal Bruce, carnival games, displays of traditional skills, food, and more. In addition, organizers are delighted to welcome the Halifax Circus for a main stage performance at 3:00 pm. Members of the company have performed across North America, India, Singapore, Europe and Africa, and the show includes aerial silks, unicycles leaping from boxes, high-octane juggling, stilt walking, high flying diabolos and acrobatics. The day will conclude with a 5 km running race starting at 6:00 pm from the Milton Community Hall and ending at Queens Place Emera Centre; information about the run and costs can be obtained by contacting Jack Fancy at 354-7216. There is no cost for any of the Canada Day events at Queens Place Emera Centre.

Join the Town Council for a Community Picnic at the 250th Anniversary Park on Medway Street ( behind the Fire Hall ) from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. They will be celebrating with musical entertainment and a complimentary lunch of BBQ hot dogs, fruit, juice and Canada Day Cake. If the weather is inclement, they will celebrate in the Community Centre on Green Street.
New Germany
A full day of activities from an all you can eat breakfast, children’s parade, yard sales, ox pull, grand street parade, musical entertainment, dancers, games of chance, various concession stands, bean and salad supper. Call for details 644-2217.
New Ross
The New Ross Legion is holding Canada Day Celebrations starting at 2pm. The day will featuring local musicians and an outdoors concert by the band Tailgate from 6-10pm. There will also be games, food, lots to do and closing fireworks at 10pm.
Petite Riviere
Canada Day Celebrations at Petite Riviere Fire Hall starting 12 noon. Duck race, children and adult activities, food and entertainment. Community fireworks near MacLeods Canteen in Green Bay. For information call 688-2117.
