Five fire departments were called to a large structure fire in Queens County.
The blaze was reported around 2:30 a.m. at the Mersey Point Fish Products processing plant in Port Mouton.
Firefighters from Liverpool, Greenfield, Port Medway, Bridgewater and North Queens were called to the scene.
Liverpool Fire Chief Steven Parnell says the building was fully involved when they arrived on scene.
He says the building is still standing but the inside has been heavily damaged.
Parnell says the cause is not yet known.
The Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
