A small gesture before a grand event.
Mary Fay received over three hundred dollars from the Bridgewater Curling Club.
The 17 year-old and her teammates head to Copenhagen, Denmark on Wednesday for the World Junior Curling Championships.
Dave Wilkie helped gather the funds and says he’s proud of the team.
“Mary has curled out of the Chester Curling Club but has curled in our club quite a bit and I think all of the county supports her.”
Wilkie says it’s only a small amount of cash but every little bit helps.
Fay opens the tournament on Sunday against Switzerland.
