A tough loss last night for the Liverpool Privateers. The Junior ‘B’ hockey club led 4-1 through two periods of play over the Cole Harbour Colts. But, the Colts rallied with three goals in the third period to force overtime then won it in the extra frame to stun Liverpool, 5-4. Cole Harbour still trails in the best-of-seven series, three games to two. Game six is scheduled for Wednesday night in Cole Harbour.
The Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs are down 2-0 in their first round playoff series against the Steele Subaru Major Midgets. The Dartmouth-based club won 5-0 yesterday. Goaltender Morgan Kini made 37 saves. Game three will be held Thursday night at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Center.
