It’s an entire month to celebrate the four H’s – head, heart, hands and health.
4H Club’s across Canada are enjoying 4H month.
Over 30,000 people will participate.
The event started with club members wearing their signature colours, green and white, but now each does their own tradition.
Judy Wile, a Co-General Leader with Hill’n’Dale, says it re-enforces their mantra.
“We have a lot of new members this year, so just educating them,” she said.
“Reminding them they can participate makes them realize, I think, that 4H is an international, well-recognized world youth program that really focuses on leadership.”
Throughout the month, members will walk in the Remembrance Day Parade, participating in the 4H Knowledge Quiz, visit senior citizens homes and help set up trees for Christmas on the LaHave.
