Today is a historic day for those of you that require a bit of help when it comes to getting the pancakes in the pan. Shrove Tuesday is here, more commonly known as Pancake Day, but this is the last year that you will be seeing Aunt Jemima products available. After more than 130 years, these products are being renamed.
I have to admit that this lady has helped me make pancakes from the time I moved out and I don’t see my abilities improving enough to fly solo any time soon. So looks like I will be turning to Pearl Milling Company for any needed assistance.
PepsiCo renames ‘Aunt Jemima’ pancakes, syrup as ‘Pearl Milling Company’
Unfortunately if you usually went to the community pancake suppers, this year it looks like you have to fend for yourself. You could always use the original recipe from the 1800’s and not just open a box.
