
Here we are, back from a soggy weekend and ready to wrap up another month. As we get ready to welcome June 2021, just wondering, are you hopeful and happy with where we are?
If we look at last year this time there was a lot of uncertainty around the future. We were wondering how and when things would ever get close to a normal life. There were concerns that a vaccine for CoVid-19 could be a long time in the making and there was no hope of seeing classmates again before summer.

Now, as we start June 2021 things seem a lot more promising, don’t they?
Correct me if I am wrong, but there seems to be a lot less uncertainty around where we are.
Friday’s CoVid announcement sees easing restrictions for travel between municipalities, with a couple exceptions as of this Wednesday (June 2, 2021). Outdoor gathering limits are on the rise and students are heading back to class.

SSRCE schools will be returning to in-person learning on June 2, 2021. To allow staff time to prepare, there will be no school (or at home learning) for students on May 31st and June 1st. We look forward to welcoming students back to their classrooms on Wednesday!
Seems the biggest feeling of hope and comfort comes from the fact that not only has a vaccine been developed, but is now being offered to all eligible residents of Nova Scotia 12 years of age and up. Some Nova Scotia icons have even been helping to promote and urge folks to get the shot.
