A Shelburne County man has been charged with arson related to the building fire at a fish plant in Middle West Pubnico.
Police arrested 29 year old Sean Roy Messenger yesterday. He was charged with arson and released on a promise to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on November 29th.
The fire took place on October 16th last year. The fish plant, which was unoccupied at the time, was burned to the ground. After investigating, the cause was determined to be arson.
Indigenous and commercial fishers clashed at the fish plant just days before the incident.
24 year old Brendon Douglas James Porter of East Pubnico was previously charged with arson in relation to the fire on July 14.
