As 2021 wrapped up, another blow came with the news that Betty White passed away just shy of her 100th birthday. She was loved by so many generations, so funny and just seemed to be a great person. I always put Betty and Dolly Parton in a similar category, just good people.
Now I remember Betty White mostly from the Golden Girls. There are many folks that remember her from the Mary Tyler Moore Show and the younger folks recognize her from Hot in Cleveland. What I didn’t know is that she actually had a connection to a Halifax newspaper in the late 80’s.

They always say that when things are sad and the chips are down, there is nowhere to go but up.
So I feel it is only right to mention our province’s first born of 2022 before wrapping up this post.
