Hard to believe it is that time of year already, this weekend we enter Daylight Saving Time.
That also means time to change the batteries and vacuum out your smoke and carbon dioxide detectors. (I know the picture is from the US, but it was the only poster I could find with the battery change reminder)
If you still have trouble remembering which way the clocks need to be adjusted, just think of the season. We enter Daylight Saving Time in the spring (well we will officially hit springtime this month)… so the clocks SPRING AHEAD one hour Saturday night. Then in the fall, the clocks fall back one hour to Standard Time.
Time Change 2022 in Canada
This is the bad one, the change that causes you to lose an hour of sleep. There could be a lot of yawning Sunday morning, even into next week. The good news is that March Break will allow a week for students, teachers, and parents to deal with the time adjustment. As this article states:
“The time change can affect sleeping and waking patterns for five to seven days.”
How to Best Prepare Yourself for Daylight Saving Time
Now the same argument will be raised this weekend I am sure. The clocks change twice a year and each time they do, the argument is raised as to, why do we bother? I can see both sides of the argument. I did not know that the idea of Daylight Saving Time was actually created by a bug collector that wanted more time in the evening to add to his collection, haha.
