It’s 4/20… That for some means a celebration of the substance that was legalized in this country back in 2018. (link)
Today others celebrate the bunch of black “We CAN’T throw those out!” projectiles that leap at you from the freezer each time you open the door.
It’s Banana Day and there is nothing else in the produce section that I can think of more immortal than the banana. I remember we did actually throw out some frozen bananas when we moved into our house 5 years ago, but the collection now builds, haha. I think my wife aspires to be the banana bread queen. I say this because each time I mention the bananas in the freezer, I get the “I’m going to use those to make banana bread”. In honor of this endeavor I did some digging and found the “best banana bread recipe”. I know it is “the best” because it says so in the title.
BEST BANANA BREAD
The only problem I see with relying on banana bread to use up a collection of the frozen fruit is that it only takes 4 for the recipe. That means a lot of batches of banana bread, and there are not that many bake sales to take it to anymore. BUT, have no fear! I have also found a few more ideas that might work to help free up some freezer space.

The debate is still out on how long bananas can be frozen. Some say forever, and others recommend 2 to 3 months. I speak from experience when I say that frozen bananas can be used after a year and they won’t kill ya, haha.
Happy Banana Day
