The last weekend of August 2022 is in the books. Whether you were taking in the World Double Bit Axe Throwing in Barrington, the Country Music Festival in New Brunswick, the music festival in Farmington, or doing something else to enjoy the weekend, I hope you had a great time. I finally wrapped up haying yesterday, so that can be celebrated now, haha.
This week you are probably thinking about the long weekend coming up. As we get ready for Labour Day, we are going to welcome September Thursday morning with our big end of summer draw. Someone will win a Hot Tub from the Canadian Spa Company with the Country 100.7 Picture Perfect Summer.
Now September means a lot of big things, like heading back to school for a new grade or maybe a new school. We also see some things planned for release during the coming month.
The first one is a new twist on a classic country tune with a couple of legends. The original singer for the song and the original American Idol are joining forces to release a new version of “9 to 5.” September 9th is the big day to get your hands on the latest version of this timeless track.

Do you remember a number of years back, the buzz around Sigourney Weaver being on the South Shore filming a new movie? There were marriage proposals on signs and asks for her to go out on dates, all while she was working on a new project around Chester. Then we never heard another word. The production wrapped up and the lucky few that got to work as background actors headed back home.
Likely delayed by the pandemic like many releases were, next month we will finally get to see Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline in “The Good House” and yes, some of it was filmed on the South Shore.

I know there are many other things that next month will bring, from fall produce to cooler temperatures for those that have been hating the humid weather. Not trying to rush August, but don’t worry about summer nearing the end, we can look forward to a fantastic fall!
