Well the countdown to Halloween is here.
By now you have probably already purchased some treats to hand out, only to have started snacking on them yourself, haha. Have not fear, you still have time to get more for the big night. Decorating for the last day of October has certainly become more popular over the past few years. I know driving through West Northfield, not only is it popular, but everything is oversized. From spiders to skeletons and ghosts, it is worth the drive up trunk 10.
Speaking of driving to enjoy decorations, this weekend we took a trip to Kentville to check out the Pumpkin People. The Animal Kingdom is all set up for a bit longer and with the vibrant colours of the leaves, what a great road trip to drive up highway 12.
We did snap a few pictures.
Now if the thought of Halloween for you needs to be a bit more intense, there are options.
There are a number of haunted houses and walks that always pop up around the end of the month. The other thing you could do is plan a trip to a spot that is known to be a spooky spot.
I remember growing up with the Ghostbusters. Not only did they have a catchy theme song, but driving around in an old hearse saving the city from spirits was pretty cool. Even the latest edition of the franchise was not bad. Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Well you now have the chance to stay in the Ghostbuster’s firehouse. Now this is not in downtown New York, but the building is an exact replica in Oregon.
Portland ‘Ghostbusters’ Firehouse vacation is an 80s kid’s dream and only available for one weekend
If a vacation is not in the cards and the virtual tour found in the story is not enough for you, there is another option.
The Ghostbusters video game, Spirits Unleashed, will let you play the part of the proton packing heroes in virtual reality.
You can answer “ME” when the question is asked “who you gonna call?”
