Christmas is coming! That is a very true statement. As we near the end of November there are reminders all around us that our preparation time is getting shorter. This week we have a number of community tree lighting events. You can find a bunch of them on our website CJHK.ca
I do see that one travelling light show is not going to make it to the South Shore this year. The Coca-Cola Holiday Truck will be rolling along Nova Scotia roads again this year, but not this far down the 103. If you are wanting to take a drive to see this spectacle though, looks like you will be Valley or Halifax bound. Here is the schedule for this year’s holiday run:
The Coca-Cola Holiday Truck Is Bound For Nova Scotia And Stopping In These Communities
This weekend was spent smelling Christmas as I was helping my uncle harvest Christmas trees destined for the US. I always find it neat to think that the thousands of trees that we cut, drag, bale and load will be one of the most important parts of a family’s celebration this season.
This morning I had a few calls asking about the official Boston Tree and when the lighting ceremony will be happening. If you are planning to be there in person you still have a week to plan your trip. The official Boston Tree Lighting event will be on Thursday, December 1, from 6-8 p.m.
BOSTON COMMON TREE LIGHTING
Another little thing I stumbled on this morning.
They are already looking at possible trees to be gifted to our friends south of us in 2023. If you would like to be able to say that this very important symbol of friendship, thanks and the Christmas season has come from your property, here is what you need to do.
