Each year I see different reasons presented as to why you should or should not leave your Christmas tree in the house. I remember growing up we always left our Christmas tree in the house, sometimes until February. I remember my one grandmother used to talk about having to leave decorations up until “Old Christmas”. Meanwhile my other grandparents would have their tree out before Santa’s sleigh landed in the North Pole, haha.
The official word seems to be that the decorations are to stay up this week to avoid bad luck. After the twelfth day of Christmas is when you should take the decorations down. That would be Friday this year. (after midnight Thursday, January 5, 2023)
