The Poppy Campaign is in full swing for another year! The Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Campaign raises an estimated $20 million across Canada every year just from selling poppies!
Have you ever wondered where that money goes?
It goes to a Poppy Trust fund at local Legion branches. It’s exclusively there to support veterans and their families through emergency financial assistance, for veterans’ independence, medical equipment and services, support for long term care facilities, bursaries for veterans’ family members, funding of PTSD treatment and research and community services (meals on wheels, transportation and drop-in clinics).
