As we are starting to see many Christmas themed items pop up on our events page and holiday lights begin to brighten the night, thoughts start to drift to Christmas TV shows.
Now Hallmark has been offering holiday movies since October, but I am thinking about the shows that don’t just have the same story with the barn, old truck and picking out the perfect tree.
When and where will we find those holiday classics?
Well it looks like we don’t have to wait too long to enjoy Christmas on TV. This Sunday has some well known classics on CBC:
Sunday, Nov. 23
Shrek the Halls – 3:00 p.m.
Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town – 5:00 p.m.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer – 6:00 p.m.
You can find the full schedule that takes you right up to the new year on their website: www.cbc.ca/life/holiday/2025-tv-schedule
Of course there are many spots to find those Christmas favourites and here is another listing to help you plan some holiday nights in front of the tube.
As 2025’s holiday specials roll across networks and streaming platforms, they do more than entertain—they invite us to pause, laugh, and share moments with the people we care about. From the whimsical adventures of Rudolph and Frosty to the musical celebrations on NBC and Disney+, these programs offer a mix of nostalgia, surprise, and heartfelt storytelling. Whether you’re revisiting a beloved classic or discovering a new favorite, this season’s lineup reminds us that the heart of the holidays is found in connection, creativity, and moments that linger
long after the credits roll.
