Update: According to a statement from the RCMP on November 26, Faulkner was taken into custody in Newfoundland. No further details were provided.
RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant in connection with an alleged fraud scheme valued at approximately $300,000.
Police say 51-year-old Jeffery Wayne Faulkner is believed to have left Nova Scotia and may now be living in Newfoundland.
Investigators with the RCMP/HRP Integrated Financial Crime Unit say he may be in either the Port aux Basques or Stephenville areas based on recent attempts to locate him.
Faulkner is described as five-foot-nine, about 225 pounds, bald, with a grey goatee and hazel eyes.
Police have made several attempts to locate him in both provinces and are now turning to the public for assistance.
Anyone with information on Faulkner’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
