A Shelburne County man has been arrested for attempted murder.
RCMP say a woman was stabbed inside a home on Sandy Point Road on Saturday night.
The 56-year-old had been assaulted with multiple weapons by a man known to her.
She suffered significant injuries, and fled to a neighbouring property.
Officers also learned she was assaulted the day before by the same man.
A suspect was arrested a short-time later, he’s facing two counts of attempted murder and other charges.
The 37-year-old from Sandy Point was scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on Monday.
