Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating an incident involving property damage and an explosive device at a Sydney business.
On January 7, officers responded to Ideal Car Care on Pitt Street after reports of a damaged front door and window.
While en route, police were advised that staff had spotted what appeared to be a grenade inside the building.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed the presence of the grenade and immediately evacuated the area.
An explosive specialist unit was called in to safely handle the device. The investigation is being led by the Major Crime Unit, and police are seeking assistance from the public.
