Some parking costs are set to rise at Halifax Stanfield International Airport starting February 9, with changes affecting both short-term and long-term options.
Half-hour and hourly parking in the parkade will each increase by one dollar.
The first half hour will cost three dollars, while parking beyond the first hour will be four dollars per hour.
The airport is also shifting its exterior lot to long-term pricing. A minimum charge of twenty-five dollars per stay will apply there regardless of how long a vehicle is parked, and hourly pricing will no longer be offered in that lot.
Long-term rates are increasing as well.
Daily parking in the parkade will rise from twenty-eight dollars to thirty, and the weekly maximum will increase from one hundred forty to one hundred eighty. In the exterior lot, the daily rate will move from twenty-four dollars to twenty-five, while the weekly rate will climb from one hundred twenty to one hundred fifty.
Airport officials say parking fees are calculated based on entry and exit times, with HST included in the posted prices.
