Yesterday I gave in and washed the vehicle.
I remember when I started driving, a dirty car was a no no, and during the winter when hoses freeze and washing was not really possible, it was torture.  Going to a car wash was not a common option years ago, but now there are more options available.  I always claimed I would always keep my vehicles clean when I was an adult, haha.  At 16 I also thought I would always be driving a vehicle that had all the same colour body parts, reality looks a bit different sometimes, haha.
As I was finishing up rinsing the soap off at Happy Hippo the gentleman next in line suggested yesterday’s sunshine might be causing “Spring Fever” haha.  I don’t think so, I was just feeling that the layers of mud and salt should be hosed off.
I decided to look into it a bit and it turns out the experts recommend washing your vehicle a couple of times each month at least, even in winter AND after every snowstorm.

How often should I wash my car during winter? Aim for a wash every 10-14 days, or more frequently if you drive on salted roads. Regular winter car washes help prevent rust and maintain your vehicle’s appearance.

Should I wash my car after every snowstorm? Yes, washing your car after a snowstorm is a good idea. It removes road salt and grime that can cause corrosion, especially on your car’s undercarriage.
