Power outages across Lunenburg on Monday morning have left several neighbourhoods without electricity as Nova Scotia Power crews work to identify and repair the issue.
Power has been restored in New Town and First Peninsula, but a number of areas remain without service as crews continue restoration efforts.
The areas still affected include:
Adams St., Centennial Ave., Duff St., Harbour View Dr., Hebb St., Hirtle Rd., James Rd., Knock Ln., Morash Ln., Rudolf Dr., Victoria Rd., and Wolff Ave.
Because some residents are still without heat, the Town has opened a Warming Centre at the Firehall on Medway Street, which will remain open until power is fully restored.
Some customers experienced surges and flickering earlier in the day, and residents in remaining outage zones may continue to see occasional fluctuations.
Unplugging sensitive electronics is recommended.
To report outages after hours, call 902‑527‑0150.
