The second year of the seed library in Bridgewater is wrapping up.
Branch Coordinator, Marion Moore, says the quality of seeds coming into the library is much higher this year.
She gives much of the credit for that a new seed coordinator they were able to hire with the help of a grant.
“Extremely helpful for helping people learn how to save seeds, cause it’s a lost art–not a lot of people do it.”
Moore says she’d like to see the garden become self-sufficient with enough seeds coming back each fall to fully replace what was given out in spring.
At this rate Moore thinks they’ll be able to reach that goal within the next two years.
