A South Shore teen is about to receive a once in a lifetime experience.
Thirteen year-old Corrinne White of Chester Basin has been selected to play in the upcoming IIHF Global Girls’ Game in Toronto.
She was one of just two girls selected by Hockey Nova Scotia.
White submitted an application and an essay in her bid to play.
The IIHF Global Girls’ Game is a group of ice hockey games that are held in countries all over the world.
White is currently a defenceman with the Metro West Force.
She previously played with the first all-female team in Chester.
White hits the ice in Toronto on February 19.
