The Liverpool Curling Club is temporarily closing its doors.
President Stephen Nickerson says they tried to raise money over the last few weeks but it wasn’t enough.
The club will close March 1.
Nickerson says they will try and gain membership before trying to open back up in the fall.
The club has been part of Liverpool since 1935.
It needs about 100 members to stay operational.
They have around 30 regular members and 35 juniors.
Nickerson feels losing the curling club would be a detrimental loss to the community.
It takes between $5,000-$6,000 a month to keep the curling club open during the season.
